Our first 2027 commitment is Landon Hodges from Livingston, TX and The Bennett School! His incredible work ethic and consistency have turned him into one of the top C/O 2027 arms in the state of Texas! Congrats to Landon and the Hodges family!

That’s how you finish a summer! Tristin Ulrich (La Grange) tosses a CG Shutout with 7 K’s and JD Murray (Cypress Christian) homered to lead the way. Ethan Giap (Klein), Wyatt Chovanec (Bridgeland), Kane Tabb (Cy Ranch), Hudson Bystrek (El Campo), Jackson Bystrek (El Campo) and Ulrich all had hits to pace the offensive attack. Congratulations, men, on a true team effort over the past four days!

On to the finals! Kane Tabb (Cy Ranch) had an RBI single in the top of the 7th to push the go-ahead run across and the guys finished off a 6-4 win in the semi-finals. Hayden Haire (Cy Ranch) picked up the win with 1 2/3 scoreless relief. Wyatt Chovanec (Bridgeland) stayed hot with another RBI single. Ethan Giap (Klein) opened the game with a rifled triple to RCF and Reice Kargel (Cy Ranch) had 3 hits to pace the offense. Back at it for the title at 3:15 in Franklin.

2-1 finish in pool play and a spot in the semi-finals tomorrow morning in Franklin. 10:45 first pitch with Jackson Bystrek (El Campo) on the mound.

Win #2 on the weekend in Franklin! Wyatt Chovanec (Bridgeland) stayed hot with three more hits including 2 doubles and 4 RBI’s. Jackson Bystrek (El Campo) had two more hits and also got the save on the mound. Josh Rose (Cy Ranch) added a 2-run single to pace the offense. Jackson Burcaw (Newton Prep) K’d 6 to get the W on the mound. Pool play continues tomorrow in Franklin with a 4:30 first pitch on field 1 with Luke Thomas (Cy Ranch) on the mound.

The guys start 1-0 at the 5-Tool College Coach Recruiting Preview. Landon Hodges (Bennett School) K’d 13 to pick up the win. Jackson Bystrek (El Campo) was 3-3 with a double and 2 RBI’s. Kane Tabb (Cy Ranch) launched a 2-run HR for his 2nd homer of the summer. Wyatt Chovanec (Bridgeland) had a double and a single with 4 RBI’s and Reice Kargel (Cy Ranch) added a double to pace the offense. Back at it in Franklin tomorrow at 2pm vs Twelve Gray with Jackson Burcaw (Newton Prep) on the hill.
