Happy National Ballet Day!🩰
I am so happy to be a Ballet teacher and be able to pass on my knowledge and passion for dance to my students. As a dancer, I hung up my Pointe shoes 20+ years ago but I am back on Pointe. Age is just a number, we use to be told dance and other sports and activitoes were just for the young, or the thin, or the athletic type or.......
Don't believe the stereotyping! Believe in yourself and your dreams and know that hard work and determination are the foundation for making things happen. Music and dance fill my soul and heal my body and mind. Yes dance has healed me from surgeries, broken bones, herniated discs, sciatica, a broken heart and more. For me dance is sometimes physical therapy set to music, sometimes strengthening, sometimes relaxing, sometimes powerful, sometimes a cry and a release, sometimes mental health therapy, sometimes beautiful and most always filled with joy and passion.
