Now that the Bayou Bassin League season is finished I've got a couple of upcoming videos I want to shoot. Since the new Dickinson Bayou ramp is completed I've had some requests for new videos of bass fishing the bayou so that is one video. The next is a video I should have done a long time ago, one dedicated to the Creme Lure Co. Scoundrel Worms, or mainly how I fish them Wacky and also some other finesse techniques. So if anyone is interested in these hang in there they will be coming soon. Also if anyone has any idea for a video you would like to see just give me a shout.

I know some of you are wondering how it went yesterday for the final Bayou Bassin League tournament of the season. We knew going in that a win was going to be really tough partly due to the water conditions and mostly because winning 3 in a row on any body of water is really, really tough. We didn't win, and ended up in 6th place but had we got a couple fish that we lost that had we got in the boat it would have been a far different story. Still we are very happy with this season overall. Why the picture of the Creme Lure Co. Scoundrels? Well it was a Chameleon Scoundrel fished wacky that helped us to our 6th place finish. It also would have given us the Redfish pot but the brute got me around a piling. I use so many Chameleon Scoundrel that I order the 100 pack which came in while I was fishing yesterday. I also got a 75 pack of the New Tequila Sunrise Scoundrels because I know a couple places they are going to kill'em. If y'all haven't tried fishing wacky with a Scoundrel then you don't know what you're missing. They have far more action and draw far more bites than any other "So Called Wacky Baits". If your local tackle shops don't carry Creme products it is easy to get them from either https://cremelure.com or https://www.tacklewarehouse.com

Here is the biggest from Lake Woodlands yesterday. It was slow at times but there were a lot of 2 pounders. Our best 5 went 18.5 pounds. Most of them were caught on a Creme Lure Co. Scoundrel fished wacky.

Wouldn't you just know it, the one time the weather forecast is right on the money. Normally as we all know they get it right less than 50% of the time, but always seem to get it right when it affects something important....LOL

Well the weather forecast is looking pretty rough for the Sabine River area this week. Not only is it going to hamper us practicing this week we are almost guaranteed to be fishing muddy or heavily stained water for the Bayou Bassin League Tournament there on the 30th. No problem, everyone has to fish the same conditions and at least we have a game plan in place, even if we would have like to shore it up some.

The water on the Sabine main river is now what I would consider muddy. It is far worse than it was on Wednesday. Still we were able to get a few bites on the main river early. We then decided to go looking for better water. It took a while and a little running but we did find some that was much better and guess what, we also found bass willing to play. It didn't take to long to put a limit in the boat and we would have been culling by about 10am. The wind however kept getting stronger and stronger and the bite had died down so we called it a day just past noon.

Heading to the Sabine for another practice. Hope they are biting better than last time.

Fishing was tough on the Sabine yesterday. Water is stained and we could only manage one keeper bass.

Dickinson Bayou was on fire Saturday. Ray and I made a late start at about 9am but were on bass and a few reds almost immediately. We caught them a lot of different baits, but a white square bill and a Creme Lure Co. Scoundrel fished wacky caught the biggest ones on the day. We didn't take any pictures, but we had 3 bass in the 3 pound range and quite a few 2 pounders to boot. Looking forward to Dickinson being back on the Bayou Bassin League schedule next year.
