HURT fields two teams in the RRRC: HURT (D2) & Henchmen (D3). Founded in 2012, the Houston United Rugby Team (HURT) fields two teams in the Red River Rugby Conference (RRRC): HURT (D2) & HURT Henchmen (D3). HURT is the 5-time defending champions of the South Division in the RRRC D2. HURT has been undefeated in league play in back-to-back seasons from 2015-17 and improves its all-time record to 40
-4. In 2015, due to the growing size of the club, the "Henchmen" were founded as the second side for HURT. The Henchmen compete in the RRRC D3 with an overall league-play record of 20-1-1 from 2015-2017. HURT & the Henchmen will continue to strive to be a powerhouse in Texas rugby. "With a new identity and even greater ambition, the Houston United Rugby Team has become one of the more successful rugby clubs in Texas. Currently in the Red River Rugby Conference D2 & D3 of the Texas Rugby Union, HURT battles teams from Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas. HURT strives to become one of the elite clubs in the greater Houston area. Devoid of politics, there is one simple standard: if you put in the work, you will play.
