The Harris County-Houston Sports Authority was a fun place to work...until it wasn't.

Thank you to former CEO Janis Burke for the opportunity, but as soon as politicians and other "leaders" forced her out in late 2024...everything fell apart.

It suddenly became about control, satisfying egos and running back to old, tired ideas.

Would you guys listen if I started a podcast?

It would be about sports, life, being a dad, etc. I’d have some guests. Being honest, I’ve gone through a lot of stuff the last 18 months. Not sure anyone wants to hear any of it…but, hey why the hell not have a group therapy session.

What do people want to hear about these days? What do you guys listen to? I know there are a crap ton of podcasts, just throwing out that idea.

Haven’t watched a game all season but I’m very confident in my NCAA bracket. It’s a yearly tradition at this point.

Good luck to the UH Cougars, The Sampson Family and the whole crew over there. Love those people.
