Made from a 18 mm round bar of 4 alloy MokuTiZr or (Mokume Titanium Laminate Zirconium Damascus ). This was my second go at this material. This material has a life of it's own. Put in in cool water and it lightens the color of the alloy and sharpens the interface between metals..... hold it in your hand and the darker blues come out. Played with torch time on the cap, section and lower portion of the barrel to get a look that seemed nice.

MokuTi Titanium Zirconium Damascus custom made Fountain Pen. Made from a 16 mm round bar of 4 alloy MokuTiZr or (apparently the actual term is Mokume Titanium Laminate Zirconium Damascus ). I enjoy working with Mokume Gane thought I would give it a try and bought a rod long enough for one pen. The material looked like stainless steel after turning off the first layer. It seems tougher than stainless to machine. Used a torch to get the desired finish. I liked the gold and blue and tried going up on torch time on the ends and section which clears the blue. It took some getting used to and had to refinish a few times to get this result

Made another one from Mokume. I like working with this material very much. This is made from triple twist round bar Mokume Gane with Nickel-Silver, Copper and Brass. Clip made from flat bar of Triple Twist Mokume, staged down in thickness with rolling mill, shaped, hole drilled and tapped. Hole drilled into cap near top and tapped for a 2.5 mm X 0.45 mm stainless steel button hole screw. Has a Bock #6 Steel Nib

Made a fountain pen from a solid rod of Mokume Gane. Rod forged of copper, brass and nickel silver in a twist pattern. Tough material. Included a picture after just machining but prior to polishing, prepping and patina application. Has a #6 fine Bock Nib. Had fun making it.

Made this for my younger son out of some brass bolts.
