The more we strength train... the more we burn fat,
Lean body mass speeds up the metabolism, literally lean muscle is active tissue that uses up calories just being present..
We could all stand to put some muscle on, but so many people have been schooled to think in terms of pounds instead of body composition or percentages of body fat,
when people put on muscle and we see the number on the scale increase slightly we think it's bad.. failing to see they actually made progress.
Don't rely on a scale to assess fitness
If you want to seriously challenge your body fat, you need to understand some "do's and dont's"
🦅 eat multiple small meals every day (stoke your metabolism) don't go on a crazy diet
🦅 stick to like 500 calories per meal ( what your body uses before storing the rest as fat) dont over eat a ton at one sitting
🦅 eat when it's light out, don't eat big dinners late at night
🦅 aim for 3 aerobic workouts per week and also add some lean mass with 2-3 strength training workouts per week. Dont miss workouts!
🦅 relax from time to time, enjoy life, have a sense of humor, love yourself... don be obsessed with fat or the number on the scale, but stay consistent. The best waybto lose fat is slowly, this is a gradual calorie deficit and work towards losing the weight, a steady lifestyle of exercise and healthy eating habits.
