No-Nomars TitleQuest Tour No gimmies, no mulligans, no bu****it. From there, the No-Nomars TitleQuest Tour began and has been evolving ever since then. "That ain't no Nomar!"

Long ago the age old question was continually being asked: "Who holds the title?" This question has been applied to more than just golf, but the golf title has, for a long time, been the most coveted. As that question got old it was decided that the only way to truly know who the titleholder is was to purchase a traveling trophy and compete for it. Membership has been steadily climbing, and 2012 h

During my physical examination, my doctor asked me about my physical activity level. I described a typical day this way:
"Well, yesterday afternoon, I took a five hour walk,
About 7 miles, through some pretty rough terrain,
I waded along the edge of a lake,
I pushed my way through brambles,
I got sand in my shoes and my eyes,
I avoided standing on a snake,
I climbed several rocky hills.
I took a few 'leaks' behind some big trees,
The mental stress of it all left me shattered,
At the end of it all I drank eight beers."

Inspired by the story, the doctor said, "you must be one hell of an outdoorsman!"
"No," I replied, "just a sh*tty golfer."

It's Ryder Cup Week!

This Saturday the men of No-Nomars TitleQuest Tour will be taking on the Bastards of Green Bay in the 3rd Annual Ryder Cup event being held this year at Royal St Patricks Golf Course.

Ten men from each tour will be playing 36 holes of golf in various 2 man team(alternating shot & best ball) and individual (match & stroke play) competitions.

The Bastards are the reigning Ryder Cup champions after beating the Nomars in a embarrassing performance at Mid Valley in 2013. There has been a lot of soul searching in the last year for the Nomars, and according to some sources this defeat is still putting some serious strains on the tour.

Ryder Cup Captain Nick Steudel said Tuesday at a short media event at Kwik Trip "Guts, not talent will determine who wins the Ryder Cup".

"Sure on paper if this were a stroke play event we would have the clear advantage, but in a Ryder Cup it's more about guts and determination. The guy who is going to pour his guts out for the tour is going to be an asset to the team, regardless of his current world ranking"

Captain Steudel also revealed that Jake Fannin would be a late scratch for the event after a freak golf cart accident this last Saturday preparing for the Ryder Cup.

“Physically, I couldn’t do it,” Fannin, 29, told reporters of his decision to inform Nomars captain Nick Steudel he was unavailable. “I wouldn’t be ready, and not being able to be there for my team-mates, the captain, and everyone that’s involved in the event, I just wouldn’t be ready and I just couldn’t help the team.

“When your name is called you have to be able to go out there and get a point and I just didn’t feel like I could be ready enough to get a point. With that being said it was time to shut it down, get stronger, get more explosive again and get back for next year.”

Fannin will be replaced by captain's pick Ross Oberschlake

It's tough to predict which Nomars team we will see on Saturday - will it be the squad from 2012 that routed the Bastards in individual events to claim the inaugural Ryder Cup or will it be the one that laid an egg in 2013. It's tough to say, but the Nomars certainly have some adversity to overcome to bring the Cup back home.

The calm before the storm. 10 Nomars descend on Winagamie Golf Course tomorrow morning for the most grueling of the Major Tournaments on the schedule, the 3rd Annual Summer Solstice Open. 72 holes of golf, first tee is at 5 AM "or whenever we can see the green".

The chatter has picked up among the Nomars, some feeling nervous, some anxious .. but all excited. Can San Diego Slam champion Adam Weeman make it two majors in a row? Can SFC Chad Nimmer notch a win at his home away from home course? Rumors have it that Brian Montonati has been sleeping in a tent since Wednesday to prepare. Excitement is brewing.

All we know is that tomorrow there are bound to be meltdowns, triumphs, and missed Nomars .. and we hope you will follow along with us every step of the way. Live scoring starting at 5 AM on www.NoNomars.com

Congratulations to Adam Weeman for breaking the slump and capturing his first Title win in over a year. Brian Montonati had a nice run with the hardware, but AJ was too much for him today. Coupled with his San Diego Slam Championship, 2014 is starting off well for the young Weeman boy.
