Owen Silva Goalkeeping 1on1 goalkeeper training at various public fields in massachusetts. I am 17 years old in my senior year of high school. I hope to do the same for my clients.

I am getting ready to take the next step and play in college. I have been playing goalkeeper for 10 years. I have had great goalkeeper coaches over the years and want to make the same impact on younger goalkeepers. I think one of my greatest strengths is being able to find my areas of improvement and work hard to improve those aspects of my game. That being said, goalkeeping is supposed to be fun,

so I will make sure every session is enjoyable but difficult. As a goalkeeper coach, I love seing the progress in my goalkeepers. I am the starting goalkeeper for Hopkinton High School. Last year, we made a Massachusetts D2 Final Four appearance and I broke the school record for least goals allowed and most shutouts. I was also named Tri-Valley League All Star Honorable Mention. I played club at Best FC for 6 years before moving to New England Surf. I play for NE Surf State Navy u19 team and last year we were MA State Finalists. We also travelled to national tournaments in Florida and California. I have coached goalkeepers and field players at Nike Soccer Camps for the past 3 years. Here, I learnt the best ways to help beginner goalkeepers learn the fundamentals and techniques that are necessary to prevent injury and be a top goalkeeper. I have been doing 1on1 goalkeeper training since the summer of 2024.

Tip Tuesday: When going for high balls, do not overreact as soon as the ball is hit. Take many little steps to get into a good position while reading the ball's path. Then explode up when you feel you can catch the ball at its highest point. Make sure you shout a loud keeper call when you decide to come out for it so your defenders don't interfere with you. Try to keep the ball above your head after you land so no defenders can bump into the ball.
