📣 Middle School Shoutouts!! 📣

This young lady on our B team has been a calm and consistent contributor to the team all season. Willow Groves has good serves, works well on defense, and puts in work at the net. When mistakes come, she faces them with a next ball mentality that will help her go far in her volleyball journey. And last night just happened to be her birthday too!! Congrats and happy birthday, Willow!

Our A team shoutout has been mentioned several times in the game recaps. Her serving consistency has gotten her team back in the game and helped lead to several wins. She is also great at her job as a Middle Hitter. Ellery Lewis continues to be an asset to her team each week and we love to see it!

Our Middle School teams took on the Lady Tigers of Hopkinsville Middle last night. The B team took the court short several players and in a different lineup than they were used to. They fought hard with good serves and hustle but fell short to the Lady Tigers 16-21, 14-21. Congrats to the younger Lady Tigers for a great game and your first win! We know how exciting that is!

The A team came out strong with another serving streak from Ellery Lewis, quick defense from Brookelynn Haddock, and some strong kills by Parker Johnson to win 21-16. The Lady Tigers came back to win the second and push the game to three sets, but it was your Lady Warriors who came home with the win!

⭐️ JV Spotlight ⭐️

We normally do JV/Varsity spotlights once a week, but this athlete deserves a shoutout for the way she played on Tuesday night against a tough Henderson County Team. Middles are normally known for blocking. They’re the ones constantly running the length of the net and jumping up to try to get a hand on every ball. Mollie Westerfield did get a block on Tuesday, but her quick reactions at the net were what stood out even more. She racked up 4 digs!! Add that to 7 perfect serves and she was a huge contributor to a very close game. Way to play Mollie!!!

📣 MIDDLE SCHOOL SHOUTOUTS!! 📣

Better late than never, right? Choosing the shoutouts from the games against New Covenant was no easy task. Everyone is stepping up and doing so well.

The B Team shoutout goes to a young lady who is working so hard on the back row. She has some great passes and hustles with the best of them. But you know what really stuck out this week? When she missed a dig she didn’t get mad. When she came off the court she immediately went to Coach Jean for direction. Every. Time. Being a coachable athlete who is constantly looking for ways to be better is an outstanding trait, and Caroline Boggess has it!

The A team spotlight could honestly go to every single girl on the court. It was an amazing team effort by everyone. But Libero, Brookelynn Haddock was putting in WORK on the defensive side and she is growing more confident each game. She had the opportunity to serve during this game and they were like bullets! Great game all the way around!

Congratulations again to both teams on great wins on Tuesday!! Looking forward to Friday against HMS!

🧹CLEAN SWEEP!! 🧹

The Middle School Lady Warriors came ready to play tonight!! Both teams got straight set wins over the Lady Lions of New Covenant Christian Academy.

The B team, led by a 12 point serving streak by Baleigh Bond, won the first set 21-6. The Lady Lions came back in the second set and kept it a little closer, but the Lady Warriors kept working together, looking to their coaches for corrections, and making good plays to win the second set 21-16.

The A team was in it to win it from the minute they stepped on the court for warmups. It was back and forth with the Lady Lions for the first set, but the Lady Warriors defense helped lead the Warriors to a 21-17 victory. The second set was no contest as strong serves, great passes, precision sets, and solid kills earned the Lady Warriors another 21-6 victory.

Every game just gets better!

Y’all have heard of a Max’s Moment that highlights a great play of the game, right? Well how about a Warrior Wow? This play made by cousins Brookelynn Haddock and Caroline Boggess deserves that moment in the spotlight. The way these two had each others’ backs reminds me of a couple of our Varsity back line. And then a pretty pass by Maiz Egbert to Gracie Stallins who finished it off with a smart play to get the point. Great teamwork ladies!!!

📣 Middle School Shoutouts!! 📣

This young lady on our B team has been a consistent presence at the net all season. She has a powerful swing that has helped score many points. She also has had some sneaky tips that fooled the other team. Baleigh Bond, the future is bright for you and we can’t wait to see it!

Our A team worked so well on Friday night it was tough to narrow down the spotlight to just one person. But one face just kept coming to mind and that was Middle Hitter Winter Braxton. She came out ready to play and that she did! She was ready for every block, got multiple kills, and played with confidence the entire game. Keep it up Winter!
