🎊 COMMITTED CLUB CELEBRATION 🎊

☀️ The summer season is coming and this group of humans continues to show up in the face of the heat!

👏 14 classes is all it takes, but many of them come in for more than that. Moving their bodies, having fun with their friends, and training for life! We applaud you all and your efforts to push yourselves (and your friends) to new heights through your training! The award goes out monthly, but the inspiration is seen daily.

🎁 A special shout out to our committed club winner this month, Arrah Fisher! She's a wife, mom of two, and a local non-profit powerhouse! She does it all and does it well because she prioritizes keeping her mind and body in shape. We're happy to award Arrah with her hard-earned, free t-shirt!

🥵 HEAT PREP 🥵

Hydration is about more than just drinking water.
When you sweat during exercise, gardening, mowing the lawn, or spending hours in the summer heat, you lose important electrolytes like sodium, potassium, and magnesium. Replacing them can help support energy, muscle function, and overall well-being.

A simple rule of thumb, if you know you’ll be in the heat, is to consider increasing your electrolyte intake to help prepare your body for what’s ahead.

If you’re already feeling dehydrated, an electrolyte drink that also contains some carbohydrates may help your body absorb fluids more quickly.

Think of it this way: it’s easier to stay ahead of dehydration than it is to dig yourself out once symptoms start.

Some common signs of dehydration are:
-Headache
-Fatigue
-Dizziness
-Muscle cramps
-Dark urine

Whether you’re training hard, working outdoors, or just trying to feel your best, proper hydration can make a bigger difference than most people realize.

Lieutenant Michael P. Murphy was a U.S. Navy SEAL who gave his life in 2005 during Operation Red Wings in Afghanistan. Under heavy enemy fire, he exposed himself to make a satellite call for help, ultimately sacrificing his life to save his team. For his heroic actions, he was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor—the first U.S. service member to receive it for actions in AfghaniLieutenant Michael P. 1 mile run
100 pull-ups
200 push-ups
300 air squats
1 mile run
*Perform wearing a 14/20 lb. weight vest if you have one.

🇺🇸 This Memorial Day, as is the CrossFit tradition, CrossFit Honesdale will take on this workout as one.

📩 As always, we invite all who are interested in joining us to do the same, for FREE. We will have heats at 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM.

🧭 With guidance from our coaches, all who join us are free to modify the workout to their own individual abilities.
