2024 deer season dates:
• Liberty Hunt: Sept. 14 – 15, 2024
• Early Antlerless Firearm: Sept. 21 – 22, 2024
• Independence Hunt: Oct. 17 – 20, 2024
• Archery: Oct. 1 – Nov. 14 and Dec. 1, 2024 – Jan. 1, 2025
• Regular Firearm: Nov. 15 – 30, 2024
• Muzzleloading (Zones 1, 2, and 3): Dec. 6 – 15, 2024
• Late Antlerless Firearm: Dec. 16, 2024 – Jan. 1, 2025
• Extended Late Antlerless Firearm Season: Jan. 2-12, 2025 (specific counties listed on www.michigan.gov/deer )

The past year or more the farm has had a VERY healthy raccoon population. So, I’ve decided to try my hand at trapping. The last 2 weeks have been interesting and a new level of fun.

December 7, 1041 -- a date that will live in infamy...

Today is one of those days we look back in sorrow for those that lost their lives during the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor. We also looks back at the way the United States of America came together as a nation. This generation has been called The Greatest Generation for a reason. These men, women, and children sacrificed so much and persevered.

I cry, smile, and pray on this day. I cry for those who lost their lives, I smile because I'm extremely proud of how the United States rebounded from this, and I pray that we never see anything like this again on American soil.

God Bless the USA!!!

It’s that easy fellas. If you actually love your kids, spouse, families…or even in ignorance love only the chance of another hunt.

A safety harness and a lifeline on pre-hung stands (lineman’s belt otherwise) is a MUST not an option.

Don’t be the reason you steal their father, husband, son or friend from them.

So, about 45 minutes before dark we seen this guy stepped into our shooting lane. Coop did a great job of laying the smack down on this toad!

Very thankful PRO GUIDE GOLD works so well at eliminating odors. With a temp of 71 last evening and we had deer literally 360 degrees around us. We were never busted.

The boys started their deer seasons this morning during Michigan’s Liberty Hunt. Deuce didn’t have much luck. Coop had a chance at a decent buck but it didn’t quite come together. This evening they’ll be out again.

This month the boys have been learning a new sport and getting some much needed trigger therapy. With 3 of us shooting it could become an expensive pass time.
