Race Recap:
Thursday at Airborne Park Speedway we started 8th and brought it home 6th in the heat which led us to a 12th place starting position for the feature Carey picked off a few early and settled for a 8th place finish car was Ok just missed the setup a bit with the GSR Chassis
Friday at Mohawk International Raceway started out good 3rd fastest in hotlaps with a stout field of cars and a fast time in our group led us to the pole for our heat and on lap 3 the motor let go in the GSR Chassis💥 We pulled out the backup car and started tail on the field 24th and finished 9th in round one of the battle of the border series. This team never quits so upon completion of the night we returned back to the shop and pulled the hurt motor out and installed our backup in the car to be ready for Sunday if a backup was needed there. Unfortunately the rains cancelled Sundays show at Cornwall Motor Speedway.
I can’t thank the guys enough for their hard work and determination the motor is being torn apart as we speak at Leahy Racing Engines to diagnose the cause for the failure to everyone that lent a hand Thank you!!!
