ATTENTION HLL BASEBALL VOLUNTEERS:

HOT OFF THE PRESS!

We have an important update regarding our training requirements for the upcoming season!!

Little League International has updated the annual safety and first aid training process. Instead of attending a scheduled virtual meeting in March as we have done in the past, you can now complete the coursework at your own pace online. They have separated the annual “safety/first aid” course into two sections as noted below.

To coach this season in our program, volunteers must complete the following three training courses found at: https://www.littleleague.org/university/training/

1) Abuse Awareness Course (Registration Deadline: 2/20/26)

2) Safety Awareness Course (Deadline: 2/27/26)

3) First Aid Awareness Course (Deadline: 2/27/26)

Upon completion, please upload the abuse awareness course certificate to your account on the Blue Sombrero portal as initially planned before the registration deadline. We’ll receive notification from Little League International once you’ve completed the other training. We recommend that you also download and save all training certificates in a safe place in case needed.

HLL Baseball registration requires many important steps! To ensure completion, DON’T FORGET to complete ALL documents in advance and then upload them onto the registration portal on Blue Sombrero.

Documents include player’s birth certificate and residency verification (either the school enrollment form OR three proofs of residency).

Volunteers must take the annual abuse awareness course and upload the completed certificate onto the registration portal.

HLL Spring Baseball Registration is OPEN!!

FIRST STEP: Visit the HLL website to review the requirements, learn about our program offerings, residency requirements, and to download forms.

DON’T FORGET to complete BOTH steps to registration including the online process to join our charter (w/Blue Sombrero) AND a new “sign up” on our TeamSnap portal.

New to the program and/or moving up to Majors (ages 9-12) or Minor League (ages 8-9)?? If so, you must also fill out the mandatory form to enroll in a tryout session - remember to only select ONE form in ONE division

Registration for HLL 2026 SPRING BASEBALL SEASON will be OPENING SOON!!

Registration dates will be ANNOUNCED

Instructions, links to register & program offerings will be provided when registration OPENS

In the meantime, participants can begin preparing documents for the registration including player birth certificate + residency documentation (either an updated school enrollment form OR 3 proofs of residency); no further action can be completed until registration opens

Returning volunteers can also begin taking the REQUIRED annual abuse course now, so it’s ready for registration; instructions can be found on the HLL website
