The Burden of Glory
At just 22 years old, Corporal Alex Mitchell stood amidst the ruins of a bombed-out building in Iran, his heart heavy with emotion.
Clad in a yellow bulletproof vest and helmet, he looked every bit the soldier, yet the weight of war bore down on him like an oppressive force.
Dust and debris clung to his uniform, and the bright sun beat down mercilessly, amplifying the harsh reality of his surroundings.
As he surveyed the destruction, a surge of anger and sorrow coursed through him, and he could feel the tears welling in his eyes.
“I have given my life to trade for the glory of this country!” he shouted, his voice cracking with raw emotion.

His heart raced as he turned to see a plume of smoke rising in the distance, a stark reminder that danger was never far away.
“Stay alert!” he yelled to his comrades, adrenaline surging through his veins.
He knew they were in hostile territory, and the reality of their mission weighed heavily on him.
In that moment, the gravity of his words sank in deeper.
“America will endure!” he shouted, raising his fist high into the air, a rallying cry for his brothers in arms.
His comrades joined in, their voices rising in unison, “America forever!”
But as they stood together, a sense of foreboding hung in the air, and Alex couldn't shake the feeling that something terrible was about to unfold.
