Our final update for the year. Results from Saturday at Drake:

The boys sprint med places 19th. The team consists of Cam Robins, Will Hagestrom, Micah Robins, and Logan Coffee.

Jenna Hoefling runs a big PR and places 14th in the 800!

The girls 4x100 ran in finals and unfortunately were DQd. We are still so proud of them. One race doesn’t define what they accomplished this year.

Lastly, Coach Diediker was recognized for his 51 years of coaching track. He deserves all the praise and we love and appreciate him very much. Thanks Coach D!

Thats a wrap on the 2026 season. Thank you all for following along with us this season. We did some really great things this year and we look to build off of that success into next year.

Friday update from Drake Stadium:
Morgan Divis placed 16th in the discus.

Brynlee Boeve placed 9th in high jump, just missing a medal.

Brynlee Boeve placed 14th in the 100 hurdles.

Logan Coffee placed 14th in the 110 hurdles.

Girls 4x200 placed 8th in a school record time. The team is made up of Sydney Doeschot, Rori Koch, Addy Ortegren, and Addie Dunkel.

Girls 4x100 placed 7th and advanced to prelims with a time that ties their school record. The team is made up of Chloe Pigott, Rori Koch, Addy Ortegren, and Addie Dunkel.

Boys 4x400 placed 20th. The quartet was made up of Jackson Kounkel, Caleb Bower, Logan Coffee, and Micah Robins.

On Saturday, the boys sprint med, Jenna Hoefling in the 800, and the girls 4x100 will all run.

FINALS ALERT 🚨 The girls 4x100 ties their school record time in prelims 49.77 and places 7th. Chloe Pigott, Rori, Koch, Addy Ortegren, and Addie Dunkel will run Saturday in the finals at 3:45. (Sorry for no photo, they said “We will get one after we run in finals”)

SCHOOL RECORD AND STATE MEDALIST ALERT 🚨 The girls 4x200 team of Sydney Doeschot, Rori Koch, Addy Ortegren, and Addie Dunkel run a time of 1:45.69 and place 8th overall!!! They break their own record that they set just 1 week ago at districts!! Congrats ladies!

Recap of the State Meet from Thursday:
Logan Kempema places 13th in Long jump!
Addy Ortegren places 15th in Long Jump!

Morgan Divis is your state runner up in shot put!
Carson Divis claims 6th and Colton Hall places 8th in Shot put!

The boys shuttle hurdle team of Zach Anderson, Luke Leary, Julian Small, and Logan Coffee places 19th.

The girls shuttle hurdle of Brynlee Boeve, Allison Hoefling, Emma Binneboese, and Rori Koch runs the 6th fastest time which would have qualified for finals. However, unfortunately we hit a hurdle and touched another to DQ our girls. Still a great run and we are so proud of them!

Addie Dunkel places 14th in the 200, and 15th in the 100.

Micah Robins placed 17th in the 400.

Overall a great effort by the kids!! We look to have another great day today! Photos and more results will come later!! We also will be highlighting some of our Junior High track athletes who set some school records this year! Stay tuned!

Iowa State High School Track meet starts this morning! One of the best in the United States. Kids dream of running at this meet. We are taking 23 athletes this year. The most in Hinton history according to our historian Coach Diediker. Good luck to our athletes the next three days as they compete.
