✨ Guest Faculty Spotlight: Ms. Donna Silva ✨
We are thrilled to welcome the incredible Donna Silva back to South Shore Ballet Theatre & Wellness as guest faculty! 🩰🤍
Donna Silva is a former Soloist with the Joffrey Ballet, under Founding Artistic Director Robert Joffrey and choreographer Gerald Arpino. During her time with the company, she performed on national and European tours, in the company’s celebrated seasons at City Center in New York City, and even had the honor of performing at the White House for President Lyndon B. Johnson.
Throughout her distinguished career, Donna has been coached and directed by some of the most influential choreographers and artists in dance history, performing works by Kurt Jooss, Alvin Ailey, Gerald Arpino, Leonide Massine, Lew Christensen, Anna Sokolow, Sir Frederick Ashton, and many others.
She has also been a Principal Soloist with the First Chamber Dance Company, Manhattan Festival Ballet, Metropolitan Opera Ballet, and the Bern State Theater in Switzerland.
Donna’s extensive teaching and coaching career has included Boston Conservatory, Boston Ballet School, South Shore Ballet Theatre, Anthony Williams’ Urban Nutcracker, and numerous dance studios and companies. She has also worked with United Dance, a company celebrating dancers with Down syndrome.
