Aloha Sailors,
It is officially the start of a new semester. We got a huge interest of new sailors this semester and this weekend is going to the first time sailing for most of them. So to the new sailors, welcome!
For starters there is a meeting today, Jan 22nd, 2015 in Edith Kanaka'ole Hall (K)128 from 4:30-5:30pm This is mostly for new members as a way to give them a introduction into the club, but the meeting is open to anyone so stop on by.
If you are unable to make it to the meeting that is fine, you can just come to the sail day this Saturday (Jan 24th, 2015). We offer rides from the university to the Bay. We pick up students at 10:30am in front of the bookstore.
The most important items to bring is water and sunscreen. Towels are optional, but dress to get wet for we do have to put the boats into the water. If you are the "easily hungry" type a snack will help. Other items you might want to bring is a hat or sunglasses. Know that we are on the water and things can get wet so cell phones on the boat is done at your own risk.
If anyone has any questions feel free to ask, and we will respond as soon as we can.
PS. Sorry for the such a late email. I had to wait for permission to use a room for the meeting, which was just approved today. I wanted to make sure I had the correct information before sending a mass email.
