ā˜€ļøšŸ SATURDAY’S RACING HAS BEEN CANCELLED šŸā˜€ļø

Due to the extreme heat, we have made the difficult decision to cancel racing this Saturday, September 5, at I-55 Federated Auto Parts Raceway Park.

The safety of our drivers, crews, staff and fans has to come first, and with the forecasted conditions, we feel this is the right decision.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and support. Stay cool, stay safe, and we’ll see you at the next event in Pevely! šŸ

Well we couldn’t get the car started last night. Ton of help from a lot of people to diagnose and try to get it running. Pops, Brad Baumgarth, Jeff LaBaube, Medley Racing loaned us a part. Never could get it running. We will spend a bunch of $ and many hours in the shop to get it fixed for another 2 nights of racing this weekend.

Many thanks all the folks that came out to see me go round and round, at least you got to see a bad ass Late Model race. No refunds Barney gotta buy parts.

Fairway Automotive might have to create this driver’s suit for next season. Looks pretty cool!

Brownstown Bullring Friday night. Finished 3rd but had a great battle with the Juice Box Bandit Cruz Griffaw and Ryan Newton. That was FUN. Congrats to the Mechanical šŸ‡ Lee Stuppy Racing on another feature win.

Racing - one week the car handles great for the track conditions and makes the driver look good. The next week it doesn’t handle worth a šŸ’© for the track condition and driver looks like a first timer. That was me last night. That is part of the challenge though. Still a blast driving trying to catch someone or trying not to get passed.

Heat 4th to 4th.
Feature 5th to 5th.

Sorry to my buddy Jerry Radeackar as I almost wrecked him in the heat. Glad he saved it and didn’t pay me back in the feature.

Congrats to Lee Stuppy Racing the mechanical rabbit.

Kristofer Wildhaber was in the pits again - thanks for the help. Large cheering section in the stands as usual - Family, work friends, and my old college buddy Scott White. We will try again twice next weekend. Living a dream.

Plenty of time to come out to I-55 Federated Auto Parts Raceway Park to watch us go round and round in the purple #5 white and red Sportsman. Jena Davis and Macy Davis will be here. Dawn Graves-Davis will be going live if you can’t make it. Looking for another good run like we had last week (2nd if you haven’t watched the video - you should). Racing starts around 7 PM.

This is what Piros Signs Incorporated is all about. Proud to be associated with them and appreciate their support more than I can express!

Yesterday morning I get a call with a problem for a top customer that needs solved to meet a deadline. I bring that problem to the team, I don’t hear any whining or complaining, they just dig in and we find a solution. All that on top of an already CRAZY schedule. I come to the office on a Saturday morning and see all hands on deck. That’s on top of our people already working out in the field to get projects done. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again but our people at Piros Signs KICK ASS!!! Thank you to every one of you!

What a night! Won 2nd place last night in the feature, our best finish at I-55 Federated Auto Parts Raceway Park so far, on a last lap pass after trying for several laps. Congrats to Lee Stuppy Racing on another win. Kristofer Wildhaber was in the pits helping along with his grandson. Large cheering section in the stands - Dawn, sister Donna, brother Scott, Pops and several others. Living a dream. Thanks for following along.
