🏆Ohio Outlaws Invitational Runners Up 🏆

Not the way we wanted to end the weekend but these girls battled all day long and had some great moments this weekend. We had a huge come from behind win in the semifinals but couldn’t quite push through in the championship game. Congratulations to the Stingrays for the win!

This year's winner is Coach Ryan, father of #14 Giuliana Meehan!

Some coaches quietly observe the game.

And then there's Coach Ryan.

When it comes to supporting and advocating for the girls, Coach Ryan doesn't just wear his heart on his sleeve...

He wears it on his face, his hands, his body language, and occasionally from several feet outside the coach's box. 😂

Missed obstruction call?

Ryan has several opinions. 🤣

No one will ever question where Coach Ryan stands on a play because he'll make sure everyone knows exactly how he feels about it.

The passion is real. The advocacy is relentless. And the Italian genes come out STRONG when the game gets intense. 🤌🇮🇹😂

At times, Coach Ryan's reactions have been so animated that parents in the outfield didn't even need to see the play—they could simply look at the third-base coach's box and know whether the call was good or not.

But beneath all the passion is a coach who cares deeply about his players and will do everything he can to support, protect, and advocate for them.

Congratulations, Coach Ryan! We hope your Father's Day is filled with perfectly lined coach's boxes... and that you actually stay in them. 😂⚠️

🏆 The Always There, Always Early Award 🏆

This year's winner is Dustin Malone, father of #72 Maddy Malone!

If there's a Beverly Bandits game, practice, scrimmage, fundraiser, or event, you can count on one thing:

Dustin will be there.
And he'll probably be there 45 minutes before everyone else. 😂

Need help finding the field?
Ask Dustin—he's already been there for half an hour.

Need to know if the concession stand is open?
Dustin checked 20 minutes ago.

Need to unlock the gates?
At this point, we're not entirely convinced Dustin doesn't have a key. 🤣

His commitment to supporting Maddy and the Bandits is unmatched. Rain or shine, hot or cold, local tournament or road trip, Dustin is always in attendance and always ready to cheer on the girls.

In fact, there are rumors that tournament directors use Dustin's arrival to determine when it's time to start setting up the fields.
"Dustin's here? Better get the chalk machine out." 😂

While some parents worry about being late, Dustin's biggest challenge is figuring out what to do with all the extra time he gives himself every weekend.

🏆 The Strongest Softball Dad Award 🏆

This year's winner is Scotty Smith, father of #1 Lynnleigh Smith!
If there's equipment that needs carried, Scotty's got it.

Coolers? ✔️
Fans? ✔️
Team gear? ✔️
Tents? ✔️
Tents with nets? ✔️
Games and toys to keep the other three kids entertained all weekend? ✔️

Somehow, Scotty manages to haul enough equipment to survive a week-long camping trip while simultaneously keeping track of four kids and making it to first pitch on time. 😂

At this point, we're not entirely convinced Scotty drives a vehicle. There's a good chance he's simply carrying the entire family and all their belongings from tournament to tournament.

Rumor has it that when other parents need help lifting something heavy, they don't look for a dolly or a cart—they look for Scotty.
Scientists are currently trying to determine exactly how many pounds of softball-related equipment one human can carry.

Scotty's response?
"You got one more thing?" 💪

This year's winner is Garland Brookshire, father of #13 Karlan Brookshire!

Before most people have found their seat, Garland has already identified the opposing team's ace pitcher, charted the batting order, noted defensive tendencies, and completed a full scouting report. 😂

Need someone to warm up pitchers? Garland's there.
Need an extra set of eyes on the opponent? Garland's already three innings ahead of everyone else.
Need to know who bats leadoff, who slaps, who bunts, and who likes the outside pitch? Just ask Garland.

In fact, there are rumors that opposing teams have started changing their signs simply because Garland is in attendance. 👀📋

🏆 The Swaggy Ballpark Barber Award 🏆

This year's winner is Uncle Leek, uncle to #44 Kaniah Richards!
Uncle Leek is one of Kaniah's biggest supporters, always encouraging her and helping her develop the same mental toughness, confidence, and competitive mindset that helped him throughout his football career.

Whether it's before a game, after a tough inning, or during a long tournament weekend, Uncle Leek is always there reminding Kaniah to stay locked in and keep believing in herself. 💪🏈🥎

But Uncle Leek makes another impact on the team...

If you've ever seen one of the Bandits' little brothers walking around the ballpark looking like they just stepped out of a barbershop commercial, there's a good chance Uncle Leek had something to do with it. 😂💈

Uncle Leek is literally giving haircuts right there at the tournament.

While other families are setting up snacks and folding chairs, Uncle Leek is setting up a mobile barbershop.

We interrupt our Father’s Day Award with a tournament update:

Girls played some great softball today going 2-0! 💥💥

We started the day with an ice bucket face dunk to wake us up since we were the 8AM game- little do they know how superstitious Coach Jerrica is, so they’ll now be doing it at the beginning of all days! 😂🧊🪣

Way to go Bandits!! 🖤🧡

Now back to our Fathers Day Awards 🥰👀👀
