It’s time to go! ✌🏾🏃🏾‍♀️💨

Twenty-seven years ago I thought I had found my church community. I was genuinely happy there for a time. I had amazing friends. So did my kids! I loved the programs.

But eventually the sexism got to be too much. And I faced a choice.

I walked away.

This week millions of SBC members face that same choice.

I’d like to tell you my story, and tell you how things ended up. And urge you, for the sake of the kingdom and for clarity, to go.

There is a time to build and a time to break down. There is a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them together.

This is the great scattering. God is orchestrating it. And I believe it’s time to go.

At this point, you’ve likely begun to recognize a pattern.

That awareness matters, because once you see it, it becomes very difficult to ignore.

There is a belief that circulates in high-level Christian spaces, and it sounds right on the surface, which is why it goes unchallenged for so long.

It suggests that structure limits the Spirit. That strategy somehow interferes with purity. That if something is truly anointed, it should flow freely without intentional design or systems to support it.

And if you’re not careful, you will begin to equate disorganization with surrender, and inefficiency with obedience.

But that is not truth. It is a distortion.

God has never been opposed to structure. In fact, throughout scripture, He reveals Himself as deeply intentional in how things are built, carried, and sustained. The tabernacle was not improvised. It was precise. Measured. Designed with clarity, not guesswork.

Structure did not diminish His presence. It made room for it.

And what you are building requires the same understanding.

Right now, your influence is expanding. People are encountering you, being impacted, and recognizing the weight of what you carry. But without clear pathways, that impact does not deepen, it disperses.

It’s the difference between a river and a flood.

A river has banks. It has direction. It has force that is guided and sustained over distance. But when there are no boundaries, that same water spreads out, loses momentum, and eventually becomes stagnant.

So the issue is not that you need less structure.

It’s that you need the right kind.

A structure that does not replace what God is doing through you, but actually carries it further than your physical presence ever could. One that holds the people, guides the next steps, and allows your message to continue working even when you are not actively delivering it.

This is where many leaders hesitate, not because they lack vision, but because they have been conditioned to mistrust the very thing that would support their next level.

But your calling is not fragile.

It does not break under strategy. It is strengthened by alignment.

There is a specific kind of moment that happens in the life of a high-capacity leader, and it rarely announces itself clearly.

On the surface, everything looks like growth. More people are reaching out. More eyes are on what you’re building. There is an increase in demand, an increase in engagement, an increase in visible traction. By every external measure, it looks like things are working.

But internally, something begins to feel different.

Not wrong, but strained. Not confusing, but heavy in a way that is difficult to ignore. You find yourself holding more conversations, responding to more messages, and carrying more responsibility than you were even a few weeks ago. And while part of you recognizes this as the very thing you prayed for, another part of you is quietly asking a more honest question:

“How long can I sustain this at this pace?”

That question is not rooted in fear. It’s rooted in awareness.

Because at your level, you are not unfamiliar with pressure. You have already built the capacity to lead, to deliver, and to show up consistently. But what you are encountering now is not a test of whether you can do more. It is an indication that what you have built is being asked to carry more.

And those are not the same things.

There comes a point where expansion stops being a matter of effort and starts becoming a matter of structure. Where the question is no longer whether you can rise to meet demand, but whether what exists around you is designed to hold it.

Right now, much of what is happening in your world is still routing back to you. The conversations, the decisions, the next steps, the continuation of the work. And while that may have been sustainable at an earlier stage, it begins to create friction when growth accelerates.

Not because anything is broken, but because something has been outgrown.

This is the part most leaders misinterpret. They assume they need to become more efficient, more disciplined, or more available. So they stretch. They adjust. They try to keep up with what is increasing.

But the real shift is not in how much you do.

It is in what you build.

Your anointing is not under pressure. Your ability is not being tested. The thing that is being exposed right now is your structure. And when structure does not rise to meet calling, what should multiply begins to bottleneck.

Not because the flow has stopped, but because there is nowhere for it to go.

You were never meant to personally hold every part of your expansion. You were meant to create something that could carry it with you. Something that guides people, holds them, and continues the work even when you step away.

If you can feel even a slight resonance with that, don’t rush past it.

Just acknowledge it.

And then DM me with one word: BOTTLENECK.
