One of the simplest and smartest things I ever did?
šŸ‘‰ Got myself some smaller plates to eat from.
Sounds silly, but it works. My eyes used to think I needed a full 10" dinner plate of food… now they’re happy with a full 7" and my stomach isn’t mad about it either.

Let me be real with you:
There’s no magic pill. No miracle diet. No unicorn-approved weight loss secret. šŸ¦„āŒ
Our bodies need carbs.
They need protein.
They need healthy fats, grains, fruits, veggies, and yes—even dairy (unless you’re allergic, of course—then please don’t).

It’s all about balance and portion control—not punishment.
You don’t have to give up everything you love. You just have to stop eating like your plate is the size of Texas. šŸ˜‚

Small changes. Big results. You’ve got this. šŸ’Ŗ

So, I accidentally-on-purpose built a small mountain of oversized weighted hoodies in my closet. Do I need 10 sets? Maybe not. Do I regret it? Absolutely not.

They’re ridiculously soft, oversized, and basically the socially acceptable version of walking around wrapped in a blanket. Bonus: they’ve got loungewear, blankets, and sweat shorts too!

✨ Save 15% when you grab one through my link!
Warning: you may never wear ā€œreal clothesā€ again. I haven’t. Send help… or more hoodies. šŸ˜‚

So one of the biggest ways to lose weight is to change your eating habits. Teaching myself to eat for fuel instead of emotional fulfilment. Here is an example of a change I've made. This shows that you can still eat out and even eat fast food. Just think about what you're ordering.

Previously my Chick Fil A was:
Chicken Sandwich with Large Fries and Large Dr. Pepper that contained 1210 calories, 96 carbs and 32 grams of protein. Pretty much a full days worth of calories and carbs.

So then I thought I was doing better by changing to a salad. So I started getting the Cobb Salad with Avocado Lime Ranch dressing and Unsweet Tea. That contained 820 calories, 31 carbs and 40 grams of protein. Still pretty high. I've since learned that the one packet of Avocado Lime Ranch dressing is a whopping 310 calories!!!

So now my go to Chick Fil A order is a 8 count grilled nugget, with one container of Zesty Buffalo sauce and a side salad add egg, bacon crumbles and shredded cheese with Lite Italian dressing. That entire meal is only 342 calories, 14 carbs and 31 grams pf protein. Huge difference and the lite Italian dressing is only 25 calories for an entire packet and I don't even use it all.

On top of that, I feel much better afterwards because I'm not tired and groggy from a carb loaded meal. Just by changing my order and making better choices, I saved 868 calories!!!

Little things add up.

You've got this!

Get motivated and get moving! Starting is the hardest part.
The biggest reason why people start and then quit is because they overdo it and hurt so bad for the next several days that they lose their motivation. Start slow, build up your progress. It takes time. No one starts out running a full marathon. They start small and work their way up. Do the same with your daily exercise. Build it up over time. You've got this!

Feed your mind
Fuel your body

Tip: One of the biggest changes that helped me was my mindset when it came to eating. Instead of eating for comfort and due to feelings, I had to change my thought to eating for fuel.

I would ask myself what I needed to fuel my body. Many of us eat our feelings. When we are upset, stressed or depressed we turn to food. Even when we celebrate something, it's usually with food. So changing that mindset is a huge step.

Now I set my rewards as something else - a massage, a mani/pedi, a new book, a new outfit, or just spending the day doing something I want to do. I keep food out of it.

So learn to Fuel your body instead.
