As most have probably learned throughout the day today we are deeply saddened by the loss of one of the newest members of our fire department family.
In March, Levi Hess became part of the initial group of young men that have volunteered to give up some of their time to give back to this community and serve as a Junior Firefighter. As many may or may not know volunteering to be a part of something like a fire department says a lot about a persons character and to do so at 16 years old as a high school sophomore shows the kind of young man he was. Levi was a 3-sport athlete being a part of the football, wrestling, and baseball teams as well.
We ask that everyone keeps his family, the family of the other young man injured in this tragic accident, their teammates, classmates, and the entire Edgerton community in their prayers and make a point to hold the ones you love just a little extra through the coming days and weeks.
