Hickory Oktoberfest is almost here, and we need amazing volunteers to help make this year’s festival one of the best yet! 🎉
Whether you’re a student needing volunteer hours, a family looking to serve together, a church or civic group, or simply someone who loves giving back to our community—we’d love to have you on the team!
🙌 Volunteer opportunities include:

KidsFest Bounce House
Festival Prep & Staging
Musician Parking
Vendor Gate Entry
Ice Delivery to Food Vendors
Sunday Breakdown & Cleanup
Floaters & General Assistance

⏰ 4-hour shifts with a break
🍔 Food voucher for select food trucks after your shift
📅 October 9, 10 & 11, 2026

Ladies—Be Prepared! 💜 Join AikiDojo of Hickory for a practical Women’s Self-Defense Workshop on Friday, Sept. 4 at 6 PM. Learn situational awareness, escapes & evasion, defense against knives and chokes, emotional control, and simple techniques you can actually use. No experience required and NO punching, kicking, or ground fighting.

Looking for a homeschool activity that builds confidence, focus, discipline, fitness, and character while making learning fun?

Join us for our FREE Homeschool Martial Arts Parent Orientation on Tuesday, Sept. 1st at 1:00 PM and discover how martial arts can become a powerful part of your child's education.

During this special event, you'll experience:

An exciting introductory Aikido class—the peaceful martial art that teaches confidence, self-control, and respect without relying on aggression.
A presentation showing how our unique program strengthens focus, memory, coordination, problem-solving, and other cognitive skills through movement-based learning.
An opportunity to meet our instructors, ask questions, and see why so many homeschool families choose our program to complement their children's education.
