The Central Kansas Twisters delivered an outstanding performance at home, dominating the Walnut Valley Bombers 142-86 to improve their impressive record to 6-1 overall (5-1 league). This was a complete team effort that showcased the Twisters' depth and offensive firepower, with multiple players stepping up throughout all four quarters to contribute to the decisive victory.
The game started competitively with both teams trading baskets early, including a brief 5-5 tie in the first quarter. However, Kevin Marin quickly sparked the Twisters' offense with back-to-back scores to open the game, and the team never looked back. After that early tie, the Twisters went on a commanding run led by Daniel Moose, who poured in 12 first-quarter points to help establish a commanding 43-20 lead. The second quarter saw continued balanced scoring, with Adrian Hernandez making an immediate impact off the bench with 7 points to extend the lead to 64-42 at halftime.
The third quarter belonged to Parker Austin and the starting unit, as Austin exploded for 13 points in the period, including multiple three-pointers and aggressive drives to the basket.
