Though Game 2 ended with an L it was apparent these girls came to play! They left it all on the field! Such a huge improvement!! These girls should be proud of their performances today!!!
Steel Valley Shock Come Up Short Against Avalanche

Steel Valley Shock fell to Avalanche 8-4 on Sunday.
Avalanche opened the scoring in the first after Sophia drew a walk, scoring one run.
In the bottom of the first inning, Steel Valley Shock went back into the lead after Avalanche dropped a third strike, Avalanche dropped a third strike, and Lily C walked, each scoring one run.
Avalanche tied the game in the top of the second thanks to a double by Aubrey, and a dropped third strike.
Steel Valley Shock took the lead in the bottom of the second. Savanna S was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, to give Steel Valley Shock the lead, 4-3.
Avalanche captured the lead, 7-4, in the top of the third after Ryann singled to the left side of the infield, Alexa singled to the left side of the infield, Aubrey tripled to center field, and Lilly singled to the right side of the infield, each scoring one run.
Kenzie O started the game for Steel Valley Shock. The hurler surrendered eight hits and eight runs (five earned) over three innings, striking out five and walking eight. Ryann led things off in the circle for Avalanche. The pitcher gave up four hits and four runs over three innings, striking out four and walking five.
Kate M led the team with one run batted in. Pearl C, Kaylee K, Addison M, and Lillian P each collected one hit for Steel Valley Shock. Gianna G and Lillian each stole multiple bases for Steel Valley Shock. Steel Valley Shock had a strong eye at the plate, tallying five walks for the game. Steel Valley Shock ran wild on the base paths, accumulating 10 stolen bases for the game.
Avalanche collected eight hits in the game. Alexa and Aubrey were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Avalanche while hitting back-to-back. Alexa and Aubrey were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for Avalanche. Amelia led Avalanche with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying eight walks for the game.
