Trash Pandas traveled to Boise, Idaho for a one day Sunday tourney this past weekend and got to play in every form of weather from pouring rain, to thunder, to hot and muggy and sunshine. We played 4 games and came up short in the Championship falling 31-33 to a very solid D&B team. As we head into the last 2 tourneys of the season we’ve got 4 first place tourneys under our belt, and 1 second place! Excited to see how we finish out the season including Worlds in Vegas come December.

MVP was awarded to Marcelo for making some great plays in the outfield, and coming up clutch with RBI’s.

Wouldn’t be the last weekend in August without an annual CDA post!

This tournament has continued to be one of our very favorites to attend year after year. Not only because of the awesome talent pool that we get to face, but also because it is usually a time where we spend an entire weekend with our families/as a team!

This year we went 3-0 on Saturday and won our pool against some tough competition! We came out Sunday a little flat and earned ourselves a drop from the Platinum to the Gold division along with 4 other platinum teams. We ended up battling back through and taking the Gold division championship and going 6-1 overall scoring 112 runs and allowing 70. It was HOT as all heck, and we already can’t wait til next year! Cheers to good times, good softball, and the best family! 🥎 ❤️

Another Kari Lindeman Memorial Tournament has come and gone, which means it’s another year we’ve been without Kari, but another year where the community has come together to celebrate her, and the legacy she left behind. Hopefully the scholarship in her name will continue to bless BMCC nursing students for years to come!

Trash Pandas traveled all the way to Roseburg, Oregon for a cause near and dear to our hearts. On April 18, 2025 Jami Strinz, the head coach for Umpqua Community College and Kiley Jones, a player on the team were killed when a drunk driver hit their bus head on while traveling home from a softball game. There were multiple other players and staff seriously injured and hospitalized. Jami was a close family friend, so it only made sense we come down to play the sport she helped grow in the community. Today, for championship Sunday we broke out our Kari jerseys, we felt it only made sense to represent another woman taken too soon by the senseless act of driving under the influence. We were able to take the championship, representing for our loved ones back home who have also been affected by other peoples selfish choices. Very proud to be taking home first place in this one. ❤️ 🥎
