How our day started. Vs how it ended.

We are fighting with our axles. Both Kason and Jacob broke axles before the main event slamming both into the wall. Ironically Jacob was first during hot laps, Kason was next during qualifying just about in the exact same place on the track. We will get the right axle hopefully one day until then we will keep pushing.

It wasn’t the weekend we hoped for. We took off to PA to race with our good friend & Kason’s car owner Jeff Erb.

Kason just couldn’t catch a brake. Fridays nights race wasn’t fun for either of us. We are still grateful for the opportunity.

Saturday:

Got the cars as ready as we could. Josh worked hard for three days to get us right. It just wasn’t in the cards. Clinton County Speedway was amazing. I loved the track, how it was operated and the fans and people. Completely redeemed my perception of up North racing. Unfortunately the 58 couldn’t catch a brake again. I drove the 777 for Erb. The car is very fast. Had some handling issues we resolved after hot laps.

Unfortunately our transponder didn’t pick up our time. So we started in the rear of the heat race. We drove up to third on the inside locking top 4 into the main. We rolled a tire off through the ruts coming to the white flag. We started in the last chance race in 12th. We got to fourth and was looking to pass for third and broke the rf axle in front of a couple other cars. Destroying the front end and ending our night. I hope that track runs SCDRA Northeast there next year. I’ll make the trip back for some redemption.

Kason Bright pulling his (new to him) JWE Roofing and Remodeling #58 out for his first race. Unfortunately the car still has some bugs to work out. We will be working hard for the next two weeks to get him ready for Dixie Speedway.
