Well the North Stars season isn’t completely over. We will have an exhibition game with the Vergas Loons tomorrow at 1:30 in Vergas. The goal: have fun and play baseball!

The North Stars season came to an end yesterday with a loss to the Long Prairie Predators. We had a great playoff run, but all good things must come to an end.

Season 3 of North Stars baseball brought a lot of positives for our team. To all the players who wore a North Star jersey this season, both new and returning, thank you for making this our best season yet. Thank you for showing up, competing, and most importantly, having fun and making memories along the way.

We would also like to thank all of our fans who showed up and supported us throughout the season. We truly appreciate the support, enthusiasm, and energy you bring to every game. Having you in the stands makes North Stars baseball special.

We’re proud of what we accomplished this season and excited to see what the future holds.

The North Stars make a comeback in the 9th to beat the Shockers 4-2. We had another pitchers dual between Nolan Coyle and Nick Lindberg. Nick went the distance for the North Stars pitching a complete game striking out 11 Shocker batters. The Shockers took the lead scoring a run in both the 4th and 5th. Nick proceeded to pitch four scoreless innings to keep us within two runs. The North Stars got hot in the 9th scoring 4 runs and tallying 6 of our 12 hits to take the lead for Nick to finish the game. We will take on Long Prairie tomorrow at 1pm in Perham.

The North Stars drop a close one to Urbank 2-0. Nick Lindberg had another strong day on the mound, surrendering just 2 runs against a very good-hitting Urbank team. He pitched all 8 innings with 8 strikeouts, throwing strikes 83% of his pitches. The North Stars played tough in the field, and hitting just couldn’t capitalize. We will see Deer Creek next Saturday at 2pm in Perham.

North Stars pull a win in the first game of playoffs beating Dent 12-6. Garrett Kuhn-Rice started on the bump going 7 innings striking out 6. Owen Harig finished the game with 2 shutout innings striking out 5. The North Stars bats were alive today tallying 15 hits as a team. Nick Lindberg and Noah Link both went 4-5 with 3 doubles each. Eric Fick was a double away from a cycle going 3-5 with a home run, triple and single. Great team win! The North Stars will take on the Urbank Bombers tomorrow at 1 in Perham.
