Community is what keeps this sport moving forward. A huge shoutout to this crew for volunteering at the PCT 50 Miler, spending the day sweeping the course, looking out for runners, and making sure nobody was left behind.

If you've ever been the last runner on course, you know how much it means to see a friendly face, hear a few encouraging words, or get help when things aren't going according to plan. They even packed a few extra Bear Butt Wipes in case a fellow runner found themselves in one of those "trail emergencies" we all know can happen. 😂

Nobody talks about the glamour of race day. The pre-race nerves, the questionable aid station food, the chafing, and the emergency porta potty stops. Somehow, after all that, we keep signing up for more. 😂

The real MVPs of race day? Aid station volunteers who already know what’s up. 😂🚽

Every experienced aid station captain has that special stash of “just in case” supplies behind the table, and wipes are usually part of it. After enough races, you learn pretty quickly that runners are very grateful when they’re available. Long miles, race nerves, gels, heat, and hours on trail can create some interesting situations out there.

To all the aid station crews stocking wipes for runners… we appreciate you! 🙌

Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

If you head out for a run, hike, ruck, or simply spend time outdoors today, take a moment to reflect on the freedoms that make those experiences possible. So many gave everything so we could continue to live, gather, explore, and move freely.

Memorial Day is not just about remembrance. It is about gratitude for those who never made it home and for the families who carry that loss every single day.

We remember them today and always.

Most runners have learned the hard way that if you’re heading out for a long run, especially on a route without bathrooms, carrying a wipe is just part of being prepared. 💩🧻
