State didn't go as Ivy would have planned, but we are still just as proud! She's fought a leg injury off and on all season and fought through like the warrior she is. But today, during her 100 meter that pain came back with a vengeance and she wasn't able to compete in her 200 meter. There were tears shed, as she said "I just wanted to run!" But her parents and coaches felt it necessary to pull the plug on her competing, to not cause more issues down the road. She finished 30th in the state, as a 7th grader! Absolutely nothing to hang her head about! She'll be back next year, ready to go. But what a season she has had!? Pulled up to compete with our high school team, again, AS A 7TH GRADER! Competed in regionals for the high school level, broke the 100 meter record at North and broke her own record after that! 13.02 time in the 100 meter-remember this girl, because she will keep breaking records! We are proud of you, Ivy Carter!
