Busy weekend of running! 22 Miles out of the total 31 on the McKenna Squad 50/50. Awesome to see so many different people come out and support our man Brad Brown. He orchestrated a great event that allowed all different paces and distance abilities to come do any amount of miles they wanted to help contribute. Really would love to see more of the running/walking community get behind this "no frills" charity event, its just pledge or donate an amount, come out and run/walk or bike and have your aid station completely covered for you. There's no medal, there's no shirt, it's about getting kids beauty boxes so they feel beautiful while dealing with an ugly sickness..

Sunday took part in some fun filled recover miles with the CRU. We took to the Hogsback in Lapeer for the much needed trail run. It's beautiful back out there, the terrain was covered with fallen leaves which made it hard to see where we are going but we blazed our own path and managed to get 800ft of elevation on just 8 miles. Can't wait till the first snow fall of the year to get back out there and really enjoy the scenery.

Mile 1- I didn't want to do this run.

Mile 3- I was ready to quit!

Mile 7- I wasn't ready to stop.

I think its important to know that not every run feels amazing, not every run starts as planned. No matter where we are in our running career we still have the highs and the lows, be patient with yourself and enjoy the journey.
