CALL TO ACTION—SUBMIT SCRATCHGRAVEL RAMP COMMENTS TODAY OR TOMORROW!
Helena-area disc golfers and supporters should submit comments by THIS FRIDAY, AUGUST 7, in support of the BLM’s Recreation Area Management Plan (“RAMP”) for the Scratch Gravel Hills. (If you're seeing this after that date =, please go ahead and submit comments anyway, as the comment period may be extended!) The plan is available at: https://eplanning.blm.gov/eplanning-ui/project/102446/510. It provides for TWO, yes, TWO new courses (well, it provides for the official, approved presence of courses on the site of the existing “Front Side” and “Shady” scratch unofficial tone courses). If you recall, we (SGDGA and its official nonprofit “arm,” Disc Golf Helena) have been privileged to have a seat at the table developing this RAMP for the past several years and we are really happy with a result that could TRIPLE the number of courses in the Helena area. Thanks to all the user groups involved who have come together to create a plan which will provide awesome recreational opportunities for all!
HOW TO COMMENT: Drop a quick line to Brad Colin at the BLM, [email protected], and tell him and the BLM that you are a disc golfer, you support the Scratchgravel RAMP, and you are eager to pitch in and get two new courses funded and installed! Or anything else that comes to mind! We want these comments to be personal and heartfelt. Help US help YOU offer more disc golf courses in the Helena area!
