The City of Hazard and Perry County invite you to participate in our Memorial Day Ceremony, commemorating our fallen heros.

The ceremony will be at the War Memorial (the street will be closed off) at 9:30 AM on Monday, May 26th, and will include words from Representative Chris Fugate, Pastor Tim Reynolds, and Josh Holland.

Art Contest for high school students in Appalachia Kentucky! Apply by March 15th!

Share what rural Appalachia means to you!

Winning art will be displayed and artists will be recognized at Appalachian Research Day: Come Sit on the Porch, on April 11, 2024, in Paintsville, KY.
Prizes will be awarded to the art departments at the winners' schools (1st place $500, 2nd place $250, and 3rd place $100).

Deadline to Apply: March 15, 2024

Let’s dance, meet new friends and have fun! New 6 week Social Dance Class starts Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 7 PM at Studio Be. No partner needed. Cost $75 per person for the 6 classes. Can pay at the door. Call Sherry or Bill Bettinazzi at 606-854-9552 for more information. Looking forward to seeing you there!

There will be two classes - beginners and intermediate! Beginners will start at 7:00 PM and Intermediate will start at 8:00 PM on Tuesdays at Studio Be down the street 🕺
