Schedule update:

This Wednesday, October 1st will be our last practice. There WILL NOT be any practice on October 6th and October 8th as was originally scheduled.

Let's finish out the season strong this week!

Update on Youth Football Night for this Friday, September 26th at halftime of the varsity football game against St. Croix Falls.

The varsity game kicks off at 7pm at Rod Lundberg Field. Please come and watch the game with your kid(s). Have them wear their Hayward Football shirts. At 5 minutes remaining in the second quarter, have your kid come over to the area next to the scoreboard (southwest corner of the field). We will split into grades and will play at halftime of the game. Each grade will play against itself (same as what we do at practice). After halftime, you are free to either stay and watch the second half or head home, although you are definitely encouraged to stay and cheer on the Canes!

IMPORTANT: the kids are to remain with you either in the stands or near the fence by the field while the varsity game is being played. They are not allowed to congregate and play football in the area behind the stands.

Schedule Update:

The games for the 5th and 6th graders on Saturday, September 13th will begin at 10am at the Spooner High School football field. Please arrive by or before 9:45am so the the kids can get organized and warmed up.

Reminder:

There will games for the 3rd -6th graders at the Grand View, WI baseball fields at 6pm on Wednesday, September 10th and Wednesday, September 17th. Please arrive by or before 5:45pm.

If there's any parents of 3rd and 4th grade players that are interested in helping coach, please let me know. We could use at least one more parent for each 3rd and 4th grade to help out on a consistent basis.

Schedule update:

The 5th and 6th graders will playing in Spooner on Saturday, September 13th. It will likely be a tournament style format against other Heart O' North schools. This is for 5th and 6th graders only. More details will be provided once they become available.

---Key dates:

Wednesday, September 3rd: first practice of the season. Practices will run from 5:30 to 7 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays during the season. Please arrive early for check-in and t-shirt pickup at the first practice.

Wednesday, September 10th: games at the Grandview baseball fields against Ashland starting at 6 pm and going until dark.

Saturday, September 13th: games in Spooner for 5th and 6th graders. Start time TBD.

Wednesday, September 17th: games at the Grandview baseball fields against Ashland starting at 6 pm and going until dark.

Friday, September 26th: youth night at the varsity football game. There will be scrimmages at halftime of the game.

Wednesday, October 8th: final practice of the season.

---Important note:

For the games in Grandview and Spooner, parents will be responsible for coordinating their children's transportation to and from the venue.

Hello everyone!

Here's the schedule and sign up link for the upcoming football season for the 3rd-6th graders.

-The season will run from September 3rd to October 8th.

-Practice will be on Mondays and Wednesdays and will run from 5:30 to 7 pm at the Hayward Middle School football field.

-The participation fee is $25. Athletes will receive a t-shirt and water bottle. There will be check-in and t-shirt handout before the first practice on September 3rd at which point you can pay the participation fee.

-There will be 2 scrimmages against Ashland that will take place in Grandview in the evening on September 10th and September 17th.

-The kids will scrimmage against each other at halftime of the home varsity football game on Friday, September 26th.

-It is possible (not certain yet) that there will be a scrimmage in Spooner on one Saturday in September.

More details about the scrimmages will follow soon.
