**2026 Bike Course Update**

After discussions with local municipalities, and in response to athlete feedback and suggestions, we have updated our bike course to avoid biker and runner congestion, and guarantee athlete and volunteer safety.

The updated bike course maintains the same loop through English Point Recreation Area, and its stellar views of Hayden Lake. From miles 0.9 - 2.5, participants will head up Maple Avenue rather than up Strahorn Avenue.

The updated bike course adds ~1 mile biking distance (now 21.7 km / 13.5 mi), and has been **reviewed and approved by USAT.**

Are you a first-time triathlete? DON'T talk yourself out of an amazing experience simply because you don't have "gear" others accumulated with time and experience.

Every triathlon has some participants who participate with the BARE minimum: Goggles, Shorts, Bike, Helmet, Shoes, Shirt.

"If this is your first sprint, don’t get caught up in spending money you don’t have to. Go out, have fun and if you’ve caught tri-fever, spend what you can afford."
