27 innings of baseball today (we played 2 games) recap to follow:

Game 1 vs Agassiz Gamblers

Tommy Slette hit his first career Hawks 💣 to tie the game at 1 in the 2nd inning (first hawks team homerun of the year August 15th)

Both offenses went quiet until Agassiz jumped out to a 5-2 lead in the top of the 10th

Teague Spillum opening up the bottom half with a single followed by a Slette single and Wrigley Gunderson homered to left tie it back up at 5 🤯

We traded runs in the 12th thanks to a Zach Taft rocket to the gap. The Gamblers then took a 7-6 lead in the 16th. Headed to the bottom half of the inning backs against the wall once again down to our final with based loaded Matt Pearson smoked a ball of the wall to win it

Game 2 against Fosston after our 16 inning blood bath, Fosston got out to an early 4-0 lead before Wrigley once again went deep to get us on the board 4-1 where the score remained until the bottom of the 9th, where you guessed it, the Hawks tied the game 4-4

Fosston got a run in the top of the 11th on a bomb to straight away center (not cool) and the gas tank ran empty for the Hawks with no magic left after 27 innings of play

Our 2026 season comes to an end… some fun stats from today and the year

We hit more homeruns today (3) than all other days combined (0)

We threw 414 pitches today as a staff

Oakley caught 25 innings behind the plate, certainly a hawks record

Peyton Aas had 14 PA

Special thanks to Sebeka and Ni**od for hosting, we only played in Sebeka I’m sure ni**od was great too but the field in Sebeka was in top shape and the grounds crew did a great job this morning battling last nights rain
