HUDSON TO STATE!! The Nuggets battled strong throughout Day #2 of the Section Finals. Hawley started the event as the #5 seed for the tournament but found themselves jockeying between 2nd, 3rd, and 4th throughout the tournament. Hawley was able to place 4 guys in the top 25!! The Nuggets also put up a lower team score than the year before. A season ago the cutoff for state was a 160 and this season three Nuggets shot under 160. Unfortunately the scores across the board were lower as well. Hawley freshman Hudson Midthun fired a 77-76-153 to advance to state for the second consecutive year. Parker Stotts just narrowly missed state after shooting a fantastic 81-74-155 with Liam Pederson right behind at 78-81-159. The team portion of the season ends for the Nuggets with plenty of highlights to look back on and enjoy. Coach Lofgren and Coach Pederson would also like to thank all of the parents for their tremendous support and encouragement this season - the players and coaches couldn’t do it without you. We are blessed up and down the roster with incredible families that help our players perform at their very best, while playing the game the right way. This group represents our team, school, and community amazingly well. Congrats Nuggets and best of luck to Hudson at the Class AA State Tournament next week! Also a special thank you and best wishes in the future to our senior team leader, Liam Pederson.
