Girls competed at Freestyle state today. Not bad for just getting warmed up to freestyle. A lot more coming up. Congratulations to Peyton, Gracie and Zeniah for qualifying for Fargo and Ainslee, Makenzie and Victoria for qualifying for Nebraska Elementary National teams!!!!

Great day yesterday at Huskerland state. We took 9 wrestlers and had multiple placers, champions and champ of champs. We ended up as Class B runner ups!!! I’m extremely proud of our little team. We don’t have the numbers but we make up for that with Quality!!!!

The Hastings Wrestling Academy K-8 Ladies Team competed today at the 2026 Huskerland State Dual Championships and brought home the Elite Division State Championship!

The ladies were absolutely on fire, finishing the day 4-0 and outscoring their opponents 238-63 in dominant fashion.

A huge shoutout to Oakley Moore, Paiten Einspahr, Peyton Eklund, Bethany Vazquez, Alba Johnson, and Esme Boyer, who all went undefeated on the day.

I couldn’t be more proud of this group. Their work ethic, toughness, and belief in each other showed all day long. The future is very bright for these young ladies.

Congratulations ladies — you earned every bit of it!

After several requests we will resuming boys wrestling classes at HWA. Wednesday and Friday nights from 6:30-8:30pm. This starts today. Cost is $75 a month.

Zeniah Sanchez just won her quarter finals match and will be HWA first NSAA state medalist. Tomorrow she wrestles to see how high on that podium she goes!!!! We are all very proud of you.
