𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧. 𝐎𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦.
𝐋𝐚𝐤𝐲𝐧'𝐬 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡 began with a little girl who refused to give up.
In 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑, our daughter, Lakyn, was diagnosed with 𝐫𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐝𝐨𝐦𝐲𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐚, a rare and aggressive form of childhood cancer. Overnight, our world changed. Instead of planning family adventures, we found ourselves navigating hospitals, treatments, uncertainty, and countless prayers. The road ahead was filled with challenges no child should ever have to face.
Yet through every appointment, every treatment, and every difficult day, 𝐋𝐚𝐤𝐲𝐧 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭.
When she entered remission after months of fighting, she discovered something that brought light back into her life—horses.
They became more than an interest or a hobby. They became her peace. Her therapy. Her place to simply be a kid again. Around horses, she found freedom from hospital walls and medical terminology. She found confidence, joy, and hope for the future.
Wanting to give her a place where that passion could grow, and where she could enjoy the life she had fought so hard to keep, our family purchased property in Haskell, Oklahoma. 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐋𝐚𝐤𝐲𝐧'𝐬 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡.
Just as construction on the ranch was moving forward, life asked our family to face the unimaginable once again.
𝐈𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, 𝐋𝐚𝐤𝐲𝐧'𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐝.
For a second time, she stepped into the fight with remarkable courage, unwavering faith, and a determination that inspired everyone around her. Once again, she endured treatment. 𝐎𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧, 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐝𝐝𝐬.
Today, Lakyn is proudly in remission for the second time.
Because of her strength, this ranch represents something much bigger than horses.

𝐈𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧.
𝐈𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐞, 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬.
Every fence that's been built, every pasture that's been improved, every horse that's found a home here carries a small piece of her story. Lakyn's Ranch is home to our family's equine program, our prospect sale program and the dreams we've built together—𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐞, 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐠𝐢𝐫𝐥 𝐰𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐠𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞.
Today, Lakyn spends her days doing what she loves most—riding horses, learning, growing, and simply being a kid. Watching her smile from the saddle is something we will never take for granted.
Our greatest dream is that one day we'll watch her confidently ride through the gate and into the show pen, chasing the dream that inspired this ranch from the very beginning.
Until then, we'll continue building this place with the same faith, determination, and hope that brought us here.
