Cabin fever is about to meet its match! As soon as safe ice locks up here in Connecticut, Swamp Yankee Outfitters will officially kick off Ice Fishing Season — and weekend dates will be opening up soon!

If you’ve never stepped onto the ice before, this is the year to try it. Ice fishing is one of the best ways to beat the winter blues, get outdoors, and enjoy a day filled with laughs, fresh air, and steady action.

🦌 Northwest Connecticut Buck Down!
Saturday afternoon I tagged this 7-point buck — all from the saddle.

Ran my XOP saddle, Prime Rona bow, Easton Full Metal Jacket arrows, and a Grim Reaper Whitetail Special broadhead… and the setup did exactly what it was built to do.

Nothing beats the rush of a successful hunt in November . 🍂🏹

Was a great day out with the boys yesterday can’t wait to do it again get ahold of Wil-Ril Fishing Adventures for your next fishing adventure.

Let’s talk about a dream.

Acquired the thirst ✅
Found a steal of a deal for rods and reels ✅
Bought some more tackle ✅
Drove myself crazy for 2 weeks ✅
Found the right crew for the first tuna ✅
Checked my oil ✅

This tuna was always a dream we just didn’t think it was going to happen this fast. That’s always been my style, if I get the itch for something I don’t sleep til it’s accomplished. This offshore trolling is like my childhood, just alittle saltier, further out, and easier.
What’s better about just catching this tuna is the fact we did it in our own boat. I have a small circle of trusted captains and I took tid bits of info from everyone and put them together. appreciate all the intel and words of encouragement.

This moment is huge not just for me personally but the buisness. In the future we would love to keep this option on hand for our clients. Need a lot more pictures to get before we can start booking those!

I was thinking 3 weeks ago to myself: I have the boat now and I’m great at driving a boat why not scrap together the bare essentials and try to catch a tuna.

✔ A copy of a Resident Fi****ms Hunting License (valid within the last 5 years from the state you lived in at the time).

🔸 Non-Resident Archery Permit
To purchase for the first time, you must provide:
✔ A valid Bow Hunter Education Certificate.
❌ Please note: Combination Fi****ms/Bow Hunter courses are NOT accepted for bow certification in CT.
