Great season for our Blackford youth K–2 League! A huge thank you to all of the coaches, parents, and players who helped make this such a great experience for our young athletes. It takes a lot of people pouring their time and energy into these kids to help build something special, and we appreciate each and every one of you.
Seeing the excitement, effort, and improvement from these girls is what growing a program is all about. The future of Lady Bruins Basketball is bright!

Proud of our girls for earning the Team Academic Award with a collective GPA of 3.74.

In our program, the standard isn’t just about what happens on the court. These young women continue to represent the Lady Bruins the right way in the classroom and in our community with their discipline, commitment, and character.

Blackford Women’s Basketball is 1 of only 99 teams to earn the inaugural IBCA Team Academic Award! To qualify, the team maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.50+.

I’m really proud of our program today. We had 2nd graders play up in the 3rd grade division and compete with teams like Warsaw. Our 5th grade team won back-to-back pool games. Our 6th grade team went 2–2 and had an incredible comeback win. To top it all off, our 8th grade team took first place by beating a really scrappy Norwell squad.
What makes this so special isn’t just the results—it’s the growth. We see the work that is being put in at every level. The extra shots, the time in the gym, the effort to get better. It is showing.

Keep showing up. Keep putting in the extra work. Keep believing in the process and in each other. We see you, and we are incredibly proud of the direction this program is going. The future of Blackford girls basketball is bright. 🐻🏀 💪🏼

We had a great turnout today for the Bruin Classic. We are incredibly thankful for everyone who poured their time and energy into making this event possible.
Thank you to all of the teams that came and participated in our event. We truly appreciate you spending your Sunday with us and helping make it a great day of basketball.

A special thank you to our officials as well. Tournament days like this are long, and they work incredibly hard to make sure the games are played the right way. We appreciate the time, effort, and professionalism they bring to events like the Bruin Classic.

Congratulations to all of the teams that finished the day with a medal as well.
A special thank you to all of the parents and volunteers who helped support the Bruin Classic and our girls basketball program. Days like this wouldn’t be possible without you.

Congratulations to our boys and the coaching staff! They all did a tremendous job in this sectional and did it the hard way. Three great wins to earn a sectional championship! We’re looking forward to supporting you next Saturday at Lapel! Go Bruins!
