We almost got it done. We played with heart this week at Shanty Creek, but just couldn’t quite get there. Alcona finished 4th in the region, just 9 strokes away from Ga***rd St. Mary. The team felt the heartbreak, but know what they are capable of, and are already determined for next year.

And that’s a wrap for our North Star League Conference Championship!

It was a great round today for Alcona shooting a team score of 351, missing second place today by only one stroke to Oscoda.

Our team was led by junior, Giovanni Paluch, who shot a 77 and securing 3rd place and 1st Team All-Conference. Following Giovanni was Edward Hechlik putting up an 87 and placing 10th overall, Cuyler Smith with a 93, Jordan Benac with a 94, Karsen Gonyea with a 95, and Anthony Perez with a 104! Nice round for every one of the boys.

We are quickly winding down our season and will be playing at Shanty Creek next week on Wednesday! Wish us luck!

Golf season is officially here! Before we get started, a HUGE thank you to friends and family who have donated to the golf team in the last two years. A special shout out to Ryan French with Monday Q Info and his foundation Drive Fore the Future for their donation to our program. Ryan and his program donated clubs, clothing, gear, and an indoor simulator to our team in 2023.
