Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs Triumph Over St. Joseph's - Plaucheville

Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs beat St. Joseph's - Plaucheville 5-4 on Monday.

St. Joseph's - Plaucheville were the first to get on the board in the first when Nick A singled, scoring one run.

St. Joseph's - Plaucheville added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Blake B grounded out, and Carter L walked, each scoring one run.

Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the fifth inning after Bronx Dill singled down the left field line, Braden McGuffee singled down the left field line, and Eden Dulworth grounded out, each scoring one run.

Maddox Trisler pitched five innings in relief for Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs. The reliever surrendered one hit and one run while, striking out six and walking six. Tate Tiffee stepped on the mound first for Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs. The righty surrendered four hits and three runs over one and one-third innings, striking out two and walking five. A opened the game for St. Joseph's - Plaucheville. The hurler allowed two hits and two runs over four innings, striking out two and walking five.

Trisler and Dill each collected two hits for Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs. Dill went 2-for-3 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs had patience at the plate, piling up seven walks for the game. Tiffee and Dulworth led the team with two free passes each. Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs turned one double play in the game. Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs didn't commit a single error in the field. Bryce Butts had the most chances in the field with nine.

A, Reid P, Micah S, B, and Dreylin M each collected one hit for St. Joseph's - Plaucheville. A, L, B, and M each drove in one run for St. Joseph's - Plaucheville. L paced St. Joseph's - Plaucheville with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, accumulating 12 walks for the game. St. Joseph's - Plaucheville were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. L had the most chances in the field with nine.

Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs Defeat Grant Behind Strong Performance From Kaleb Stewart

Kaleb Stewart was dominant on the hill, as the starter rang up 10 strikeouts in Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs's 8-3 victory over Grant on Saturday. Stewart gave up five hits and three runs over seven innings while walking two.

Maddox Trisler collected three hits in three at bats in the win. Trisler doubled in the first inning, doubled in the third inning, and singled in the sixth inning.

Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Trisler doubled, and Bryce Butts singled to center field, each scoring one run.

Myles Futrell flew out, which helped Grant tie the game at two in the top of the third.

Grant took the lead in the top of the fourth. Brody Craig singled, scoring one run, to give Grant the advantage, 3-2.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs went back into the lead after Butts singled to left field, and Eden Dulworth flew out, each scoring one run.

Futrell began the game for Grant. The starting pitcher allowed five hits and three runs over four innings, striking out five and walking two.

Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs amassed 11 hits in the game. Trisler and Butts were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected three hits for Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs while hitting back-to-back. Butts provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs with three runs batted in. The first baseman went 3-for-4 on the day. Stewart collected two hits for Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs in four at bats. Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs turned one double play in the game.

Futrell, Landen Fletcher, Cole Pepiton, Craig, and Nick Jewell each collected one hit for Grant. Futrell and Craig each drove in one run for Grant.

Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs will travel to Oak Hill for their next game on Tuesday.

Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs Impressive In Win Against Monterey

Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs won big over Monterey 10-2 on Thursday.

Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Maddox Trisler singled to center field, and Monterey committed an error, each scoring one run.

Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs scored five runs on two hits in the bottom of the second inning. Bryce Butts was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Trisler doubled, scoring two runs, and an error scored two runs.

Trisler started the game for Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs. The righty gave up four hits and two runs (one earned) over five innings, striking out five and walking one. B Barfoot started the game for Monterey. The starting pitcher surrendered five hits and seven runs (three earned) over three innings, striking out three and walking none. Dominic Stott pitched two innings of zero-run ball for Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs in relief. The hurler gave up zero hits, striking out three and walking none.

Trisler provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs with three runs batted in. The pitcher went 2-for-4 on the day. Kaleb Stewart and Trisler each collected two hits for Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs. Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs turned one double play in the game.

L Tiffee, R Gilmore, Barfoot, and K Hodges each collected one hit for Monterey. Gilmore and L Simpson were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Monterey.

Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs will travel to Grant for their next game on Saturday.

Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs won big over Georgetown bulldogs 18-3 on Saturday at Harrisonburg.

Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Maddox Trisler singled to center field, Eden Dulworth singled down the left field line, and Braden McGuffee walked, each scoring one run.

Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs scored eight runs on five hits in the bottom of the second inning. Bronx Dill singled, scoring two runs, Dill scored after tagging up, Tommy Ogle singled, scoring one run, McGuffee doubled, scoring one run, Kaleb Stewart drew a walk, scoring one run, Bryce Butts drew a walk, scoring one run, and Dill doubled, scoring one run.

Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Dominic Stott walked, Stewart singled down the right field line, and Dill was struck by a pitch, each scoring one run.

Tate Tiffee stepped on the mound first for Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs. The starting pitcher surrendered two hits and three runs (one earned) over four innings, striking out nine and walking none. Z Jones stepped on the hill first for Georgetown bulldogs. The starting pitcher allowed two hits and three runs over one inning, striking out none and walking four.

Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating 12 walks for the game. Stewart, Tiffee, and Dill each stole multiple bases for Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs. Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs stole 10 bases in the game.

T Jones led Georgetown bulldogs with two runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The catcher went 1-for-2 on the day. Jones and I Kelly each collected one hit for Georgetown bulldogs.

Harrisonburg Varsity Bulldogs welcome Calvin on Monday for their next game.
