Good morning soccer family! The concession stand sign up form has been emailed to all volunteers who posted on registration forms that they were interested in volunteering. Each person who works a shift will receive a $5.00 voucher to be used at concession stand or to use toward next year’s registration. You can sign up for more than one shift. There are some youth that have helped in the past and want to help again this year. We do request not more than 2 youth. There has to be at least one adult with all youth at all times. We would prefer one youth on each shift but sometimes parents need to have their children with them. If they are there to help out and do help out, they will receive a voucher as well. If you are interested in helping with the concession stand, please check your email or reach out to us through Messenger or email us at [email protected]. The sign up form will also be posted at the concession stand if you would like to sign up. Thank you to all that have already signed up.

LAST CHANCE!!

Important Registration Deadline: We have added a final registration day scheduled for Tuesday, June 30 at 5:30 pm at the City Park in Harrison, where a meeting will follow to finalize team rosters. We appreciate the enthusiastic response received so far but are eager to welcome a few more participants, particularly those aged between 10 and 13. Potential players of any age are invited to attend and register on Tuesday, with special encouragement for those in the 10-13 age group.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

ATTENTION!! Harrison Youth Soccer Program needs your help!
Soccer season is quickly approaching, and we are looking for volunteers who would be willing to get involved and join our board! The following positions are currently open:
- Vice President (1 year remaining)
- Secretary/Registrar
- Coach/Referee Coordinator

All positions are two-year terms.

What’s the time commitment to be on the Board?
It’s manageable — especially when everyone does their part:
✅ Open & close the concession stand twice per season (5 weeks, twice per week - 10 days total)
✅ Attend meetings - once per month October through May, twice per month June through September, and maybe one extra meeting preparing for the beginning of season
✅ Fulfill your role’s responsibilities
✅ Help with one fundraising event - contacting sponsors, penny drive, etc.
✅ One day of field prep, typically a Sunday.

When we have a full board and active volunteers, it is not overwhelming for one or two board members. This opportunity keeps supporting our athletes and community the way they deserve.

Right now, the same few faces are doing most of the work, and burnout is real. If you’ve been on the fence about getting involved, now’s the time.

**Many hands make light work.** Volunteers are needed to keep this program running!

I am sorry to have to do this but introduction night is canceled for tonight. Unfortunately, two of the volunteers/board members who were supposed to help have had a death in the family. I would have liked to cancel earlier today but I was trying to pull together enough volunteers to fill the gap. I will be at the fields from 6-7 pm to register anyone that planned on registering tonight. There will not be a practice/camp for the players today, just registration.

Our youth soccer program is looking for local business sponsors for the upcoming season. Every week, our players step onto the field, ready to learn grow and have fun. There will be another post shortly with the registration form and waiver that can be printed off and mailed in or dropped off. There will be registration forms available at all in person registration dates.

Thank you to everyone that assisted with Fun Day and that showed up and celebrated with us! Reminder that there will be things for the kiddos to enjoy tomorrow at the soccer field from 5:00-6:30. Even if you were not able to attend today, you can still come tomorrow. Pictures that were not picked up today will also be available at that time.
