Murphy o2 Canoe Company I'm a retired Sporting Goods dealer of 43 years and a cancer survivor. I've been a woodworker hobbiest most of my life.

During my cancer treatment I needed a purpose to keep me going so I decided to start building wood and canvas canoes. I build them on a form that I built from Roland Thurlow's 15' Cheemaun plans. I use clear Northern White Cedar for the ribs and planking. I use hardwoods, mainly Ash for gunwales, decks, seat frames, thwarts and carrying yoke
