Happy 11 years to the horse who started it all!

The Great Gatsby has officially been a part of the Blackburn family for 11 years, today. Gatsby has been such a vital part in starting Hidden Hollow Farms, from teaching the head trainer how to ride all those years ago to now teaching the littlest riders in our lesson program.

We are so, so grateful for all the amazing years we’ve had with the goofiest, sweetest, and overall coolest gelding in the world! Everyone at Hidden Hollow (And Beyond) loves you, Gatsby!

We are officially opening up training board spots at Hidden Hollow Farms! What is training board? Training board is our full care board with the inclusion of daily handling and a training plan and schedule unique to each individual equine.

Whether your horse is needing their first ride, an introduction to jumping, a simple tune-up, or anything in between, we’ve got you covered!

•Starting Hunter II: 6th

•Short Stirrup Undersaddle: 3rd🥉
•Short Stirrup Eq. Flat: 3rd🥉
•Short Stirrup Hunter I: 3rd🥉
•Short Stirrup Hunter II: 2nd🥈
•Short Stirrup Eq. Over: 3rd🥉

Keaton and Kahlúa had their best and most consistent show to date. We are very proud of this pair for their continuous improvement.

•Schooling Hunter Undersaddle: 3rd🥉
•Schooling Hunter I: 3rd🥉
•Schooling Hunter II: 3rd🥉
Sidney’s consistency led him to Reserve Champion in the Schooling Hunter division.

•Baby Green Undersaddle: 1st🥇
•Baby Green Hunter I: 1st🥇
•Baby Green Hunter II: 2nd🥈
Sidney ended the spring season by taking home Champion in the Baby Green division.

We always love traveling to River Pine Farm and were so happy with our results. Now time to put in the work over the summer to come back better and stronger in the fall💪🏼!

Maddie Blackburn and Sidney Scores

Sidney Scores travelled to his first true away show and first ever Rated show last weekend at . Four hours away from home, in a strange stall, around new horses, and in the pouring rain and Sidney still showed out.

Results:
•USHJA 2’ Hunter I: 1st🥇
•USHJA 2’ Hunter II: 2nd🥈
•USHJA 2’ Hunter Handy: 1st🥇
•USHJA 2’ Undersaddle: 5th
Out of a large group of lovely horses and ponies, Sidney ended up Champion overall.

•USHJA 2’3 Hunter I: 2nd🥈
•USHJA 2’3 Hunter II: 1st🥇
•USHJA 2’3 Hunter Handy: 1st🥇
Even without doing the undersaddle, Sidney ended up Reserve Champion overall due to his impressive trips over fences!

We are so, so incredibly proud of how Sidney Scores handled himself through many firsts. Sidney is such a smart and cool guy, we can’t believe we still have him available! See Sidney show one last time for the spring season tomorrow at River Pine Farm!

Another weekend at a horse show because there’s nowhere else we’d rather be!

Maddie Blackburn and Sidney Scores

Results:
•Schooling Hunter I: 4th

•Baby Green Undersaddle: 2nd🥈
•Baby Green Hunter I: 1st🥇
•Baby Green Hunter II: 2nd🥈

Even through multiple rider errors, Sidney kept his cool! 4th out of 14 was an impressive placing for this young horse.

Keaton Simmons and Liquid Courage

Results:
•Short Stirrup Undersaddle: 6th
•Short Stirrup Hunter Ii: 6th

Keaton and Kahlúa had their best show to date! They are really figuring each other out and had a lovely undersaddle and laid down some great courses.

What a way to end two weekends of back to back shows!
