Tomorrow is the day for Biyakathon 2026! Weather forecast dropped the chance of rain percentage to 30% - as mentioned prior, we will continue to monitor but as it sits, Biyakathon is on! Please come prepared for the possibility of wet conditions.

Must bring your bike & helmet, kayak and life vest for those portions.

If you have participated in the past - there are currently NO CHANGES to the course maps. (Announcements morning of event supersede all prior).

**Long Course**
Start at Judge James H. Lincoln Memorial Park

Turn Right on M-25
Left on State St. (Traffic Light)
Right on Nelson St. (Road name changes to Pierce)
Left on Rapson Road (please be left side of right lane)
Right on Port Hope Road
U Turn at Minnick Road
Left on Rapson Road - Cross M-25 to N Lakeshore Rd
Right on N Lakeshore Road
Right on Ritchie Dr
Left on M-25
Left on State St
Right on Water St
Left on Trescott St to Finish at Park (same as start)

** Long course participants DO NOT take the bike path at any point**

**Short Course**
Start at Judge James H. Lincoln Memorial Park
Turn Right on M-25
Left on State St. (Traffic Light)
Right on Nelson St. (Road name changes to Pierce)
RIGHT on Rapson Road (please be right side of right lane)
Cross M-25 To N Lakeshore Rd
Right on N Lakeshore Rd

Roundabout at end of Marina
Left onto Sidewalk/Bike Path

We will be there setting up for registration approximately 7:30, and will open for 7:45-8:45AM tomorrow morning.

Snacks and beverages will be provided!

Two days out from Biyakathon 2026! We are keeping a close eye on the morning's forecast, and at this time the Biyakathon is still on as scheduled. The event is rain or shine, so please come prepared for the possibility of wet conditions.

The safety of our participants, volunteers, and spectators is our top priorty. If thunderstorms, or dangerous weather become expected for the event, we will postpone the race and communicate that decision as early as possible. Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing everyone Saturday!

Registration is 7:45AM-8:45AM with race starting at 9AM sharp!
Please plan to pay morning of at the registration booth located near the roundabout at the Judge James H Lincoln Memorial park! Cash or Check is preferred (Checks to be made out to Harbor Beach Community Chest with Memo: Biyakathon) - $50 for individuals, or $100 for teams.

Please bring a bike and helmet for the biking portion, and a kayak and floatation device/life vest for the kayaking portion. Courses maps, rules, and sponsors are shown at http://biyakathon.org/.

T-shirt availability is not guaranteed if registered after July 1st.

Please plan accordingly:
Morning of pre-registered/registration from 7:30-8:45am. Race starts 9AM sharp for both long and short courses.

Must have a helmet for the biking portion, and a flotation device/life vest for the kayaking portion.

Just over 2 weeks to go!

Some people have been signed up for months, others registered this week!

August 1st, the Biyakathon, starting at the Judge James H. Lincoln park in Harbor Beach at 9AM sharp.

A 5 or 12 mile bike ride depending on course selection, approx. 1.5 mile kayak, followed by a 5k.

We are 30 days out from Biyakathon 2026! We are submitting the T-shirt order based on those that have signed up - so future signups will not guarantee a shirt.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to multiple local businesses who are always willing to help make this event happen and we will release the sponsors list next week!

Any fitness level can complete this with little to no training. It's a great way to challenge yourself!

A few reminders:
Bring your bike AND helmet - helmets are required
Bring a kayak AND a life vest - life vests are required
The 5k portion can be walked, jogged, or ran!

Be aware of traffic along the route, and remember safety is the top priority! HB PD, HB Fire Dept, and Huron County Sheriffs dept do a fantastic job along the main intersections, but always do your part to complete the event as safely as possible.
