Cherokee adds open practice following Prelude event.

Cherokee Speedway and Prelude to the Finals officials have announced they will be holding a 90-minute open practice following the Prelude of the Finals event Tuesday October 31st. After talking with several teams coming from out of the area we have decided but it would be a good idea to allow teams to have an open practice following the event just so those guys could get more laps on the Carolina dirt with Charlotte right after and the Blue-Grey coming up in November. The open practice will be available for anyone that attends that night, at no extra cost other than the pit pass for the event. It will be a rotating practice for late models, sprints and any of the division that was to be in attendance that night.

Breaking News!!!!!!!

2 weeks away from the Mid-East Super Late Models and 410 sprints invading Cherokee Speedway for the Prelude to the Finals and we are proud to announce this event will be a qualifying race for a provisional starting spot for the 2024 season opener in March.

The finishing order from Cherokee will be the provisional list for 1 of 2 provisonals to start the 10 race 2024 campaign.

Both the Super Late Models and Sprints will be racing for $7,500 to win, $500 to start.

Hot laps, qualifying, 6 lap heat races, 40 lap feature.

Mid-East Racing Association announces return of the Prelude to the Finals.

After a year off the Prelude to the Finals will return to Cherokee Speedway on Tuesday October 31.

The mid-week event will feature the Mid-East Super Late Models racing for $7,500 to win, $500 to start 40 lap feature, 410 sprint cars racing for $7,500 to win, $500 to start 30 lap feature and tracks weekly division Renegade Sportsman racing for $1,000 to win.

Also with it being on Halloween night, there will be trunk or treating set up for the kids by several teams to enjoy throughout the night.

Event information including ticket prices, gate times and race formats will be announced this weekend.
