Larry King Law's Langley Speedway Race #8 Recap - 8/29/26
With the season winding down, we're chasing every point to keep our spot in the ROTY battle as well as trying to close the gap in the overall championship standings.
We unloaded fast and Ryan was able to top the speed charts for the 1st time in practice #1. We sat out practice #2 (more on that later) and he ended qualifying 3rd fastest.
In the race Ryan got a good start and after a few laps he found himself in a door to door battle in the outside lane with JR Motorsports for 2nd place. Jace was fighting a loose racecar and did a great job keeping the car under control. The boys kept this up for a good 7 to 8 laps racing cleanly and never making contact. In the end Ryan just couldn't complete the pass on the outside and came home with a hard fought 3rd place finish. He also had the fastest lap of the race!
Ryan also showed some toughness and perseverance, doing all of this with a fractured index finger. Our team wants to give a huge thank you to HROSM - Hampton Roads Orthopaedics Spine & Sports Medicine for the expert guidance and providing us with options for Ryan to still compete in racing and soccer while protecting his finger.
And we can't forgot those who support our racing program:
